VoiceClaw Realtime is an iPhone and Apple Watch app for realtime AI voice interactions with GPT-Realtime-2, GPT-5.5 Instant, and optional OpenClaw access through VoiceClaw Companion on a user's Mac. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Information you provide

You may enter or import setup information including an OpenAI API key, OpenClaw computer URL, optional HTTPS tunnel URL, optional gateway credentials, preferred model settings, and VoiceClaw Companion pairing data. These settings are used to operate the app features you configure.

Credentials and local storage

OpenAI API keys and bridge secrets entered on iPhone are stored on the device using iOS secure storage. VoiceClaw Companion stores local configuration on the Mac where it is installed. VoiceClaw is designed so users can use their own OpenAI credentials, their own OpenClaw installation, and their own network routes.

Audio and voice interactions

When you start a live voice session, microphone audio may be sent to OpenAI services for GPT-Realtime-2 audio processing or to your configured OpenClaw/VoiceClaw Companion route. Voice responses may be played back through your device speaker, receiver, headphones, or watch speaker depending on device settings and platform behavior.

OpenAI and AI services

VoiceClaw uses OpenAI services for GPT-Realtime-2, GPT-5.5 Instant, transcription, text-to-speech, and related AI functionality when you configure those features. Information sent to OpenAI is handled by OpenAI according to OpenAI's applicable terms and privacy policies.

OpenClaw, Companion, Tailscale, and tunnels

If you configure OpenClaw, VoiceClaw may send requests to VoiceClaw Companion on your Mac, to a Tailscale URL, or to an optional HTTPS tunnel that you configure. These routes are controlled by your setup. Tailscale and any tunnel provider you use may process network metadata according to their own policies.

Device permissions

VoiceClaw may request access to the microphone for live voice, camera for setup QR scanning, photo library for user-selected media analysis, contacts, calendar, reminders, and location only when relevant app features are used or explicitly requested. The app does not silently read contacts, photos, messages, WhatsApp, notes, or other app data.

Subscriptions and purchases

VoiceClaw subscriptions are handled by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Apple processes payment information. VoiceClaw receives subscription entitlement information needed to determine whether app access is active.

Diagnostics and support

The app includes diagnostics to help users confirm that audio, credentials, OpenClaw, Companion, Watch sync, and network routes are working. If you contact support, you may choose to share screenshots, recordings, diagnostic text, or other information needed to resolve the issue.

Children

VoiceClaw is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated as VoiceClaw changes. The updated version will be posted on this page.
